This “Danish” style axe head simulator is inspired by the Jan Petersen Typology “M” Viking broadaxe and is intended to be mounted on a short handle to be used as a medieval one-handed axe.
Dimensions:
- Total Width: 18 cm

- Socket: 3 cm x 2.5 cm, oval
- Recommended shaft (not included): 120 cm for two handed use, 80-100 cm for one handed use
This range of simulators was developed for HEMA by Black Armoury and we recommend sourcing your shaft locally. The synthetic material allows for vigorous use of the simulator while providing possibilities for customization (painting, some reshaping, etc.). These last characteristics also make these products excellent for parallel uses: re-enactment, stage, cinema, or even cosplay. (Haft sold separately)
