Our Light Duty Swordsmans Gloves are a step up from the simple leather sword gloves that have a thin layer of diamond quilted padding on the back of the wrist, hand, and fingers. This model also has a double layer of leather applied to the thumb and palm near the thumb, as well as a band or mesh reinforcement across the palm area. The Light Duty Sword Gloves are an ideal blend of light glove to protect the hand from chafing and blisters while offer some small degree of protection from incidental contact during moderated contact partner drills. They should not be considered for full-contact fencing or other high intensity activities that may result in rigorous contact with the hands.
An excellent choice for any style of sword and fencing style but especially appreciated by rapier, smallsword, and sidesword enthusiasts.
